In the tiny living quarters behind the Greenwich Village candy store which she operates with her husband, crowded with her forty-year collection of movie magazines. Mildred Wild has virtually escaped from reality into the dream world conjured up by the 3,000 movies she has eagerly devoured. That is, until the day her world is shattered when she finds out they are being evicted! Her husband has eyes for another and she may have to give up her big break, an actual Hollywood screen test. How will she survive all this? By asking her movie-star friends of course.
